With the intention of practicing and improving my skills in Cinema 4D software, I created a letter with a hair effect, initially following the reference of a sheep’s wool.
To render I used Octane render, which brought an excellent result in a short time to render with some small adjustments.
It was not necessary to use any external plugin, the used tools are native of Cinema 4D, with the exception of the renderer.
Below I put two images showing the content of everything that was used to create the project.
I used the materials and lighting that the Octane offers, and with just 3 OctaneLight, an OctaneSky and 3 materials it was possible to get the result that is in the images.
During rendering I set up a single extra channel in the multi-pass, which was the Ambient Occlusion, used for post-production in Photoshop. With it I was able to highlight the hair strands better and create a slight color degradation.
